If you stand at the equator on the first day of spring, you will see the sun pass  directly overhead. This only happens twice a year; first day of spring and the first day of autumn.

Daylight savings times starts and ends at different times around the world.

 

Benjamin Franklin was the first to propose daylight savings times in 1784. It wasn’t fully implemented until the end of the Second World War.
