Why we love the holidays
Christmas is such a magical time of year. We all have different reasons why we love the holidays and here are my favourites…
The festive spirit
Everyone has a little skip in his or her step around this time of year. Us Brits are usually an unfriendly lot, but everyone gets a bit merrier as the 25th December approaches (perhaps because of the mulled wine?!)
Fairy lights and decorations
Shops, restaurants, streets and green spaces are decked from top to bottom with Christmas decorations. Everywhere you turn there are twinkling fairy lights, glittery snowmen and gigantic Christmas Trees.
The cute decor is bound to put a smile on your face and make it that bit easier venture out into the rain and cold.
These originally German Christmas markets have hit the UK in style. From the big rides at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park to Sailsbury’s new market that features a musical performances from choirs and local schools.
These cute markets and fairs are a lovely way to spend a winter’s day or evening and enjoy a bratwurst or two!
Party, party, party!
As they say: ‘Tis the season to be jolly!’
In December there are parties at every corner. If it’s not your work do, it’s a secret Santa get together or a carol service. It’s the perfect time to get friends and family together to catch up and create great memories.
